Composed
of complex organic molecules, all essential oils originate
from plant matter. They are easily absorbed into the body
between 20-70 minutes and they are excreted via the kidneys,
lung and integumentary system (skin), which takes roughly
24 hours. They are either clear or coloured and to some degree
are nearly all antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial,
which all helps to strengthen and stimulate the body's immune
system. Venustus uses undiluted, pure essential oils to ensure
maximum efficiency and quality.
Using essential oils extracted from tree
roots, branches, leaves, flowers, and so on are at the mercy
of environmental factors, which vary from year to year. So
naturally you may find slight shifts in colour, scent and
texture.
Due to the active ingredients involved in
all of our formulations, Venustus products should be used
in full within six months of the initial opening of the containers.
Try and keep products out of direct sunlight, heat and humidity,
and avoid cross-contamination by using clean implements -
rather than your fingers - to scoop product (like cream) directly
out of jars.
Contraindications due to the physiological
effects essential oils have on the body, there are certain
precautions you must take:
1. Do not ingest essential oils.
2. Do not apply essential oils directly onto
the skin - add a few drops to an aromatherapy burner.
3. Do not use essential oils in the first
tri-mester of pregnancy.
4. Seek professional advice if you have low
or high blood pressure, epilepsy, kidney disorders.
5. Store below 30 degrees and in a dark place
if possible.
6. Keep out of reach of children.
7. Check all precautions before using.
8. Avoid using essential oils on children
five years or younger.
